Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer!

Vyng’s goal is to help start better conversations. To date, we’ve built the only viable video ringtone platform, and are about to roll out video Caller ID.

We’re looking for quantitative, data-driven people to join our fast-growing Vyng team! You’ll work closely with the Head of Engineering, Product, Design, UX, and Data Science teams here and around the world to drive improvements and new features in core product areas.

Our office is in Venice, California, and our team is distributed across the globe. Flexible work schedule allowed.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Lead a QA team to consistently deliver high quality software
- Implement a robust automated testing process to support a continuous development/deployment environment.
- Work closely with our developers to integrate testing into the development and build processes.
- Define and maintain QA Reporting /dashboards for projects and overall QA organization
- Recommend efficient testing tools and strategies.
- Work to ensure Vyng works across a myriad of Android devices from all around the world.
- Take ownership of the release process to systemize software releases, monitor key metrics, and minimize the impact of software defects.
- Work with JIRA issue management tools and Agile processes.
- Closely monitor and measure system performance

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
- 3+ years experience as an Engineering Manager or a Software Quality Manager.
- Deep understanding of QA methodologies including triaging, debugging, automating, testing, etc.
- Experience deploying testing for performance, UI, features, stability, and other product oriented needs.
- Ability to describe how you have lead team members to improve and develop their skill-sets and measurable accomplishments.
- Experience in a Test or QA Manager role owning release decisions, scoping work, and driving bug convergence.
- You have foundational knowledge of coding and tools like Git, SVN and Bash, so that you can able to read code and correlate bug fixes to pull requests.
- You have experience in designing and helping in creating the architecture of test automation.
- You have experience in keeping track of relevant playstore reviews, and other dashboards like firebase, crashlytics for important issues.
- You have experience in defining future roadmaps, goals for testing strategies in the organization.
- You have experience in helping the QA team in setting their Objectives and Key results.
- Desire and proven ability to attract, retain, and grow people to create a self organized and highly empowered team.
- Able to work in an ambiguous and highly interdependent work environment to get things done in an efficient and tactful way.
- Experience creating and bringing to bear qualitative metrics and measurements.
