Location - Bangalore
Wealthy: why, what, and who?
Why - Like medical care, everyone needs good wealth management. But this expertise is available only to a few. We want to change this and democratize wealth management in India.
What - We are building a technology platform and a network of experts to help everyone with all their wealth management requirements.
Who - Wealthy was founded in 2016 by Aditya Agarwal (IIT-Bombay, Monitor Group) and Prashant Gupta (IIT-M, IIM-A, Ex-Morgan Stanley). Read more about our team here.
We recently raised our second round of funding of USD 1.3M from Good Capital, Emphasis Ventures, and Tracxn.
Whom are we looking for?
Engineering graduates with experience of 2 to 5 years and knowledge in Python, Django, SOA, AWS, Docker, Algorithm and Data Science. This is a full-time role based out of Bangalore.
As a Backend Engineer, you will be expected to solve both for scale and complexity.
We have 30+ microservices managed end-to-end by four backend engineers. We do 100+ automated deployments every week and a hackathon every quarter. Since one tool doesn’t fit all, we keep experimenting with new technologies. One such experiment led us to GraphQL for our APIs and we have been using it for over three years now.
Oh, and our engineers are skilled in both tech and finance :).
Why join Wealthy?
For most people, finance is intimidating enough. Now imagine taking care of the backend that deals with all of finance.
You will get a chance to earn some bragging rights in your CV, impress your peers, and teach your elders a thing or two about financial planning. Not convinced? Read more about our culture in our Medium blog.
